Vinology to Begin the Chef Table’s Tasting Menu

Come to Vinology Restaurant & Event Space to try some new dishes!

Vinology has hired a new Executive Chef. James Beard Award recipient, Alex Young, has joined the team and is looking to make a few changes to the menu with your help!

Alex Young eventually settled in southeast Michigan and started working with Zingerman’s group of companies. He developed a vision for a new restaurant and catering concept, which led to the development of Zingerman’s Roadhouse. Zingerman’s Roadhouse garnered many awards and national honors, including the James Beard Foundation recognition as the Best Chef Great Lakes. Young was the first Chef from Michigan to win the prestigious award in years. 

Young has established a lot of culinary milestones in the area. He founded the James Beard’s Chef Action Network and continuously pursues agricultural activism in the area. He has also established a custom butchering program and dry-aging facility for Zingerman’s. However, he wasn’t done yet. He also opened the popular French restaurant, The Standard Bistro.

By joining the Vinology team, Young will be able to bring a new menu, new flavors, and new perspectives to the restaurant. His focus on seasonal produce will bring bright, fresh, and complex flavors to emphasize wine-friendly world cuisine. The Vinology menu under Alex Young will constantly evolve to reflect Chef Young’s experience and his constant study of flavors from all over the world. 

In honor of Young joining the team, Vinology is announcing the Chef Table’s Tasting menu. This menu will have a 6-course tasting menu every Sunday at 6pm. The Chef Table’s Tasting will begin in early September, and pricing starts at $65 per person. This event will be hosted by Chef Alex Young, and is limited to 10 guests per week at socially distanced tables.
