Brewing in India

The beers at Arbor Brewing Company are so tasty, soon they'll be drinking them halfway around the world — literally. The Micro Brewery's owners, Renee and Matt Greff, are leaving for Bangalore, India on December 1 for three months to oversee the opening of a new pub in the city. The idea spawned from a friend, UM alum and business partner who lives in Bangalore. States in India have recently started legalizing brewpubs, and Ann Arbor seems to be finding its place among the outsiders looking to bring in the joy of carefully crafted beer. 114 East Washington St. 734-213-1393. www.arborbrewing.com
