Meanwhile, the farmers market will host a variety of activities for both adults and children. Visitors can listen to live music from around warm, cozy fire pits. To add to the holiday atmosphere, there will be s’more kits and hot chocolate for sale.

Date: Friday, Dec. 2

Krampusmrkt: Handmade Holiday Bazaar

For a spookier holiday experience, the organizers of Holy Bones Festival are hosting their second annual Krampusmrkt Handmade Holiday Bazaar.

The event has expanded to the Ypsilanti Freighthouse due to the popularity of last year’s event. Come to the Krampusmrkt to peruse the tables of vendors who are showcasing a variety of “creepy, holiday-themed goods.” Along with these goods, each vendor will showcase at least one item featuring Krampus himself, a figure from folklore who scares misbehaving children at Christmas time.

Date: Saturday, Dec. 3

Time:  3-9 p.m.

Location: Ypsilanti Freighthouse, 100 Market Place, Ypsilanti.

Halfway to Halloween Takes Over Christmas

Another less traditional option for a holiday market is the Halfway to Halloween Takes Over Christmas market. This indoor event not only features shopping, but also an escape room, food trucks, and even a zombie Santa.

Vendors will be selling such goods as gothic-themed gifts, costumes, custom pieces. Visitors will also have a chance to support a good cause, as the event coordinators have partnered with the Siren Eaton Shelter and are offering free admission with the donation of a cleaning product of toiletries.

Date: Dec. 10

Time: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Location: Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd, Ann Arbor.

Tickets: General At-Door $5 or cleaning product/toiletries, VIP $20 (Free limited online tickets available).

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church is hosting its second annual German Christmas market. This outdoor market will include several traditional German foods such as bratwurst and fried potatoes for sale at a minimal cost.

In addition, visitors can purchase beer, wine, and hot drinks to enjoy while engaging in fellowship and shopping. The event coordinators encourage visitors to bring cash for quick and easy payment.
