Lume Cannabis Co. is celebrating the life of cannabis activist Jenny Monson by hosting a series of week-long activations for Jenny Kush Day. They’ll be celebrating Jenny Kush day from Saturday, August 28 until Tuesday, August 31.Â
Jenny Monson (better known as Jenny Kush) was a cannabis activist from Denver, Colorado who was a founding member the Colorado chapter of Moms for Marijuana International. Her life and her work were tragically cut short because of a drunk driver. She is known as a Cannabis Warrior and the strain Jenny Kush was named after her to honor her work.
Celebrate Jenny Kush Day
To celebrate her life and her work in the cannabis field, Lume Cannabis Co. will partner with local tattoo artist, Dawn Smith, for a weeklong activation series which will include art, music, and tattoos — a few of Jenny’s favorite things.Â
Lume loyalty members and guests who sign up for loyalty before August 31 will have the chance to enter a raffle for two tickets and a VIP experience to see Dead and Company at the DTE Energy Music Theatre on Friday, September 10. Lume will also include a Jenny Kush-inspired playlist for every customer who purchases from the Jenny Kush product line.Â
Additionally, each retail store will raffle one 11×17 Jenny Kush-inspired poster. Dawn Smith, artist, illustrator, and tattooist, designed the poster. The poster will be available to customers who purchase from the Jenny Kush product line between August 28 to August 31.
On top of all these awesome things, Lume Cannabis will also provide every customer with a Jenny Kush-inspired temporary tattoo design by Dawn Smith as a gift with purchase. These items are while supplies last!
Finally, four Lume loyalty members will have a chance to win a 5-hour tattoo appointment with Dawn at Harlequin Tattoo in Hamtramck at a mutually agreed upon time in 2022.
