Midnight Madness Promises a Bigger and Better Holiday Celebration

Ann Arbor’s iconic Midnight Madness event will return for another festive year of late-night shopping and festive family entertainment. On Friday, December 6, Midnight Madness will take place all three of downtown Ann Arbor’s districts — the State Street District, Kerrytown and Main Street.

Midnight Madness is a downtown Ann Arbor tradition, welcoming holiday shoppers to local businesses after-hours. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, with festive celebrations spread across multiple blocks and streets, creating a truly immersive holiday experience for all ages.

“We’re thrilled to combine the efforts of the State Street District, Kerrytown District and Main Street Area Association under one event,” said Ashley Schafer, executive director of the Main Street Area Association, in a press release. “This unified event showcases what makes downtown Ann Arbor so special — offering holiday cheer for everyone while supporting our local businesses.”

Kerrytown

Every year, Kerrytown holds beloved Kindlefest during Midnight Madness, bringing the charm of a German-inspired holiday market. Local artisans and vendors will offer one-of-a-kind gifts, ranging from handmade jewelry to artisanal baked goods. Visitors can get in the holiday spirit as they listen to live music and enjoy Glühwein (hot spiced wine) and local craft beers.

Grace Singleton, managing partner of Zingerman’s Delicatessen and president of the
Kerrytown District Association, said in a press release, “My favorite event of the year is Kindlefest in Kerrytown. Come celebrate the holiday season with music, food, and beverages, and shop for unique artisanal gifts.”
