Beyond the Pail: Mural Making and the Artistic Process

The A2AC Gallery presents Beyond the Pail: Mural Making and the Artistic Process. The exhibition explores mural-making and its artistic process, examining how each project and surface presents novel challenges for every artist. Curated by Louise Jones, aka Ouizi, this show features artists whose work can be seen in public spaces and museums worldwide. It opens on Friday, July 29th, and runs through October 8th, 2022.

The public Opening Reception will be held in the A2AC Gallery at 117 W. Liberty on Friday, July 29th, from 6-9 pm. Some exhibiting artists, as well as the curator, will be in attendance.

Admittance to the A2AC Gallery is free, but donations are always appreciated; they help keep the gallery free and open to everyone. All ages are welcome.

You may wear a mask at your discretion to the opening of Beyond the Pail. All A2AC staff members are fully vaccinated and will wear masks at their discretion. If you need a mask, we are happy to provide one upon request at no cost. Hand sanitizer will also be readily available for guests to use.

Beyond The Pail brings you behind the scenes of mural making through preliminary sketches, photos, and artifacts. This exhibit highlights each step of the process from ideation to installation, through the lens of 13 artists working in uniquely varied styles and methods.” ─ Louise Jones, aka Ouizi.

This exhibition, and the inaugural season, are made possible with support from Vintage Financial Services
