Here’s what’s happening locally this month in Washtenaw County: openings and business updates in Ann Arbor, Saline, Chelsea, Dexter, Ypsilanti, Milan and more.

Openings

The Nest Cocktail Bar & Kitchen at Robin Hills Farm has opened outside of downtown Chelsea at 20390 M-52, Chelsea. The Nest’s farm inspired menu uses seasonal and local ingredients. They also host live music, comedy nights and weekly trivia. 

The Mobile Chelsea District Library will have a ribbon cutting event on June 1 as the new vehicle is introduced to the community. This vehicle will help spread library resources and services throughout the community. 

Demetrike Wells-O’Brien’s State Farm Office recently opened in Ann Arbor at 2739 Plymouth Rd Ste B. 

Coming Soon

Crazy Wisdom Bookstore at 114 S. Main St, Ann Arbor, is planning on reopening with a new focus after being closed for a year. This bookstore and tearoom originally opened in Ann Arbor in 1982. 

Closings

Abbott’s Landscape Nursery, located at 2781 Scio Church Rd, Ann Arbor, will close on June 30 after 40 years of operation. 

Angelo’s is closing 1100 Catherine St, Ann Arbor. This diner-style family run eatery has been an Ann Arbor staple since 1956. The tentative closing date is no later than March 31, 2024. The building has been acquired by The University of Michigan. 

Ypsilanti Running Company at 126 W Michigan Ave, Ypsilanti will be closing permanently June 30. This shop has been selling running accessories, apparel and more since 2014.
