Here’s what’s happening locally this month in Washtenaw County: openings, closings, and business updates in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Milan and more.
Openings

Little Kim, a restaurant owned by chef Ji Hye Kim of Miss Kim, has opened at 407 N. 5th Ave, Ann Arbor. This fast-casual restaurant serves an array of Asian vegetarian cuisine. Menu items are crafting using sustainably and locally sourced ingredients.

Penn Station East Coast Subs is now open at 5627 Jackson Rd., Ann Arbor. This fast food sub sandwich chain has stores throughout the country.
Bellanina Day Spa has moved locations from 201 N Fourth Ave. to 415 N Main St. The new location—just blocks from the old space—has free on-site parking. They offer massages, skin care, body treatments, spray tans and more.
Puentes Multilingual School, part of Ypsilanti Community Schools, is now open at 510 Emerick St., Ypsilanti. This duel language Spanish immersion program is open for students in grades K-4.
Coming soon
Burlington will be opening a new location this fall at 3150 Carpenter Rd, Ypsilanti. This new location will feature the company’s reimagined store layout. They sell clothing for all ages, footwear, pet care, home decor and more.
Slows Bar BQ is coming to Ann Arbor at 207 E. Washington St., Ann Arbor this fall. This full-service restaurant will offer dine-in, carryout, third party delivery and catering. Known for its ribs and other smoked meats, the original location is located in Corktown. They plan to open in Ann Arbor as soon as possible.

Closings
Tea Ninja has closed at 535 E Liberty St, Ann Arbor. They were known for selling tea products and more, Downtown Ann Arbor.
Kilwins has announced that their Ann Arbor location will be closing on Dec. 31. This location at 107 E Liberty St, Ann Arbor, was the first Kilwins franchise store. Other locations throughout the country will remain open, serving ice cream, specialty chocolate and more.
The Wurst Bar at 705 W. Cross St., Ypsilanti has closed, however, on Instagram, the owners included in the post that “something new is brewing.”
Other
Bills Beer Garden will remain open, even after its neighbor, Downtown Home & Garden, closes. Though as separate business, the beer garden operates out of the garden store’s parking lot.
