Here’s what’s happening locally this month in Washtenaw County: openings, closings, and business updates in Ann Arbor, Saline, Chelsea, Dexter, Ypsilanti, Milan and more.

Openings

Arise Bakery is now open at 972 East Michigan Avenue, Saline. They work with local vendors including Hyperion Coffee Co, Calder Dairy, Grand River Bakery, Rich Grains Bakery and Fraser Tea

Peridot is now open at 118 W Liberty Street, Ann Arbor. They specialize in Vietnamese-influenced cuisine and award-winning cocktails. Check out their rotating menu.

Milk & Froth is now open at 328 S Main Street, Ann Arbor. It is a new artisanal ice cream shop that offers both dairy and vegan ice cream. They also have a location in downtown Detroit.

Lowertown Bar and Cafe is coming soon at 1031 Broadway Street, Ann Arbor. This new hangout will sell coffee, beer and spirits. Their coffee is roasted by Hyperion Coffee Co. 

Destination Cyclery is now open at 3219 Broad Street, Dexter. Visit to stock up on all the essentials bicyclists need. They are also able to service any make and model of bike.

Wolverine Pickleball is opening a new facility at 235 Metty Dr.,Ann Arbor, opening Dec. 1. This space is 39,000 feet and occupies 2 acres of indoor and outdoor space. The former facility is closing.

Changes

Golden Rhino Games at 2092 Whittaker Road, Ypsilanti, now has an in-store café. Gamers can now enjoy a snack while they partake in role-playing games at this Ypsilanti game store.

Closings

Kouzina has closed at 32 S Main St, Ann Arbor. This downtown restaurant was known for its Greek street food.
