Zingerman’s Delicatessen hosts tinned fish class

Zingerman’s Delicatessen’s Tinned Fish 101 invites curious eaters to rethink canned seafood with a guided tasting led by deli expert Kevin B., featuring selections like tuna, sardines, and more. The session on Thursday, April 9 includes samples paired with accompaniments, along with insights into sourcing and flavor. It is located at 422 Detroit St., Ann Arbor. 

The $30 ticket also includes 20% off at the online store at shop.zingermansdeli.com or in the VIP shopping time after the tasting. The menu cannot be modified for dietary restrictions involving fish.

Ann Arbor SPARK holds Food Truck Rally

A Food Truck Rally at Avis Park on Thursday, April 30 will bring together tech and innovation professionals from across the Ann Arbor area for a casual networking event open to the public. Attendees can enjoy a lineup of local food trucks, along with games, giveaways, and outdoor seating. It will be at 880 Technology Drive, Ann Arbor.

Admission is free, and food vendors accept credit/debit/cash/Venmo. Vendors include Shimmy Shack, Detroit BBQ, Tacos El Mariachi Loco, Hero or Villain Deli and Blue Lemon Thai.

Enjoy a five-course meal paired with Orin Swift Wines

At the Gandy Dancer, 401 Depot St, Ann Arbor, a five-course wine dinner on Thursday, April 9 pairs a chef-driven menu with selections from Orin Swift Wines for a curated dining experience priced at $145 per guest. The menu moves from fresh, seasonal starters like beet and black kale salad and tuna tartare to heartier courses including roasted black cod and truffle cornbread stuffed chicken, ending with Basque cheesecake and coffee service.

Each course is thoughtfully matched with wine to highlight flavors throughout the meal. Tax and gratuity are included, and the event is non-refundable and limited to guests 21 and older.
