Book Love Bar will open in 2025 at 110 W Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti, in the old Stone & Spoon location. This will be a new and used bookshop.
Openings
The Jim Toy Community Center recently reopened at 560 S. Main St., Ann Arbor. This LGBTQ+ organization strives to provide a safe space within this 1,200-square-foot building. The Jim toy Community Center has been a resource in Ann Arbor for the LGBTQ+ community since 1995.

Pizza Cat Max is now open at 640 Packard St., Ann Arbor. This pizza place and bar serves unique pizzas such as “Dave’s Spicy Reuben” and “Flaming Hot Cheese.” They also offer hemp, keto and gluten free crusts. Pizza Cat Max has multiple locations throughout Ohio and Michigan.
Cherry Republic expanded its downtown Ann Arbor location at 223 S. Main St., Ann Arbor. After taking over the former Anneke’s Downtown Hair at 221 S. Main St., Cherry Republic opened a full-size wine bar.
Closing
VKitchen, 883 W. Eisenhower Pkwy., Ann Arbor, will close after Nov. 25. This Vietnamese restaurant has been open for nine years.
