Here’s what’s happening locally this month in Washtenaw County: openings, closings, and business updates in Ann Arbor, Saline, Chelsea, Dexter, Ypsilanti, Milan and more.

Openings

The Future Innovators Academy is a new establishment which offers STEM related programs such as classes, camps and events. This business is veteran owned.

HHW Center will open Oct. 3. This is a new facility for the disposal of hazardous household waste. In order to use this facility, one must be a resident of Washtenaw County, Northville Township or the City of Northville. Items can not be dropped off if they have been used for a business, government entity or other organization.

Wag N’ Wash has opened its first Michigan location. This store sells pet food, treats, supplies and supplements. There are also full-service grooming and self-wash facilities.

Big Boy is now a concession option at Michigan Stadium. Fans can enjoy their favorite big boy treats while watching their team play.

Culantro is opening soon in the former location of The Broken Egg. Culantro has another location in Ferndale. This new restaurant will serve authentic Peruvian food.

Highline Spirits is a new business opened by a Dexter resident. They currently offer bourbon, triple rye, Kentucky Whiskey and straight American whiskey.

Sam Hill is opening soon. This indoor-outdoor eatery will serve regional American fare.
