Here’s what’s happening locally this month in Washtenaw County: openings, closings, and business updates in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Plymouth and more.

Openings

Tabe is now open 209 S. Main St., Ann Arbor, the former Jim Brady’s. Tabe is a high-end Asian fusion restaurant that offers a variety of dishes, including noodle dishes, sushi tacos and more.

Stimulatte Café is now open at t 1816 Whittaker Road, Ypsilanti. This new cafe sells tea, coffee, popping boba drinks and brunch.

Chelsea Party Loft recently opened at 1115 S. Main St., Chelsea, as a new party venue for teens. This new 1,400-sq. ft. party venue is owned by a local parent and former Middle School PTO president. Some feature include a reception area, dance floor, sound system and 360° Video Booth.

Jet’s Pizza is now open at 3040 Washtenaw Ave., Ypsilanti. The business is best known for their Detroit-style pizza crust.

Closing

Red Hawk Bar and Grill, 318 S. State St., will close on Saturday, May 3. They posted that the reason for their closure is due to “financial strain” following the pandemic and rising food costs.

Other news

Seva in Ann Arbor, , 2541 Jackson Ave., is still open, however, its Detroit location recently closed. Owners are asking for the community to support their Ann Arbor location as they move forward.
