July 2023’s Biz Buzz

Here’s what’s happening locally this month in Washtenaw County: openings, closings, and business updates in Ann Arbor, Saline, Chelsea, Dexter, Ypsilanti, Milan and more.


Openings

Nuggets Canna Co. at 705 1/2 W Cross St, Ypsilanti,  has recently opened. This is a recreational boutique cannabis dispensary. It advertises as being the closest dispensary to Eastern Michigan University. 

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill  is now open and will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 10 at 3268 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd, Ann Arbor. Their menu has a modern take on traditional Greek cuisine.

Taco Bell at 1180 Dexter St, Milan is now open. Milan previously had a Taco Bell inside a gas station near where the new stand alone building is.

My Spa is now open at 2512 Carpenter Rd, Ann Arbor. A range of services are available at My Spa including facials, massages, waxing and more.

Herbology Cannabis Co. is now open at 915 W. Michigan Ave, Ypsilanti. This chain has locations throughout Michigan. 

Money Bins Liquidation Deals is now open at 1918 Whittaker Rd, Ypsilanti. This new store sells  overstock inventory and returns from stores such as Target and Amazon. The prices of their inventory varies based on the day, ranging from $2-$10. 


Closings 

LATITUDE downtown Ann Arbor at 619 E Liberty St, Ann Arbor, is temporarily closed. 

Coming soon

Grace Proper will be opening at 8071 Main St, Dexter, this summer.This home lifestyle retail store has not yet released an opening date. 

Mothfire Brewing Co. plans to open its new Ann Arbor taproom at 713 W. Ellsworth Rd. on July 13. The new building will feature wood-fired pizza, an outdoor patio, live music and more.

Worth Noting

Paesano Restaurant & Wine Bar is now officially under new ownership. Since opening in 1984, Bridget and Mike Roddy have served authentic Italian cuisine at 3411 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor. The new owners are lifelong Ann Arbor community members Richard Buhr and family,
