The Ypsilanti Farmers Markets are bringing fresh, locally sourced food closer to residents through their Mini Markets Program. By partnering with local businesses, organizations and community spaces, the program establishes smaller market locations throughout the city that are accessible and welcoming to the community. The initiative aims to make nutritious food easier to obtain while giving local vendors additional opportunities to reach customers and grow their businesses. By connecting residents with local food producers in their own neighborhoods, the Mini Markets also help strengthen Ypsilanti’s local food system.
