Foodie Friday at County Farm Park
Every Friday from through September 25 at County Farm Park, 2230 Platt Rd, there will be a food truck for the community to enjoy from 11am-7pm or until the trucks run out of food. This is the perfect opportunity to have a family picnic while trying new food. After you eat, there is a whole park to explore with a farm themed playground and community gardens. So far, they have welcomed food trucks with specialties in coffee, pizza, tacos, sandwiches, and burgers, to name a few. Battle of the Barz
Throughout Ann Arbor, bartenders are engaging in a little friendly competition of their own through Battle of the Barz. Featured bartenders from York, Peridot, Lowertown and Last Word will provide cocktails for the community to taste and vote for their favorite. There will be four rounds of the competition. Tickets start from $47-$48 for each event and $3 from each ticket is donated to Swoop’s Food Pantry. The first round Lowertown vs. York at Lowertown. On July 9, Lowertown and York will go head to head again at York. On July 22, Peridot and Last Word will compete at Peridot, followed by a rematch on July 29 at Last Word. The championship will be held at LIVE on Aug. 19.

Ann Arbor Taco Festival
Over 30 taco food trucks will be at the Ann Arbor Taco Fest from July 31 – August 2 at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor – Saline Rd., Ann Arbor. Hours for the event are Friday from 5-10pm, Saturday from 11am-10pm and Sunday from 12-7pm. Tickets are $8 if bought online and $10 at the door. Children under 3 years old get in for free as well as veterans and active-duty members with military ID. In addition to tacos, the event will feature live Latin music, lucha Libre wrestling, cutest dog contest, hot pepper eating contest and more.
Chef Galy’s West African Diaspora Experience
On July 12, Chef Galy will serve a unique 5 course culinary adventure with food from the African Diaspora. This is an opportunity to connect and learn through food and culture at Galy’s, 20 North Washington St., Ypsilanti, from 4-7pm. Tickets are $87.21.
Moët & Chandon TasteMaker Dinner
Ruth’s Chris is holding a Moët & Chandon Champagne Tasting Dinner on July 9 at 6:30pm. Tickets are $160 a person. The menu includes Chandon Spritz served upon arrival; Watermelon Salad, served with Moët and Chandon Ice Impérial; Almond-Crusted Jumbo Lobster Tail, served with Moët and Chandon Rosé Impérial; 8 oz Filet and Roquefort Bleu Cheese Crust, served with Moët and Chandon Impérial Brut; and Coconut Pineapple Cake, served with coffee & tea.
