If you’re craving something a little different in a Christmas movie this year, the new documentary Jingle Bell Rocks! might hit the spot. Featuring Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons of RUN-D.M.C., The Flaming Lips’ frontman Wayne Coyne, filmmaker John Waters, and Calypso legend The Mighty Sparrow, along with interviews, rare archive footage, and performances, Jingle Bell Rocks! is a cinematic mix tape of alternative Christmas music that will expand your holiday music horizon beyond Bing Crosby.

Jingle Bell Rocks! opens Friday November 27, 2020, online at Michigan Theater’s virtual movie palace.
