Corpse Tour Coming to Vault of Midnight on March 21

Corpse Tour ’26 is going to take over Vault of Midnight from 2-5 p.m. on March 21. That means that anyone who is a fan of the horror comics and graphic novels will be able to meet one of the medium’s most prolific creators working today in person to discuss the Exquisite Corpses series.

“James Tynion is a superstar comic book writer! So many awesome comic books – Something is Killing the Children, Exquisite Corpses, Department of Truth, Batman, Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nice House on the Lake and a bunch more,” Curtis Sullivan, the co-worker of Vault of Midnight, told Current Magazine.

Ann Arbor will be the third stop on a six city tour. They will be going to Fort Lauderdale, France, Salt Lake City, San Diego and three other locations. Each one will coincide with the release of a new issue of Exquisite Corpses.

Tynion will be bring along Michael Walsh for a two part event. According to VoM, there will be a Q&A session from 2-3 p.m. on the third floor of the building. There is no elevator, so there will be no handicapped access.

Afterwards there will be a chance to get your graphic novels or comics signed by Tynion. To avoid long lines, and be kind to Tynion’s hands, there will be a five signature limit. And if you don’t manage to get into the Q&A, you will be able to still get your copies signed, and you will also be able to purchase new copies too, to fill holes in your collection.

There will be up to 150 seats set up in the store at 219 South Main Street. Up to 50 seats can be reserved online and two thirds will be sold on a first-come-first-sat basis for whoever lines up that Saturday.

Tynion and his team didn’t respond to requests for comment.

You can get tickets the VoM website now. The line for people who don’t get tickets now will open up at noon and will stop at 100 people. VoM is asking people to not start lining up before noon.

Curtis said that the fact that Tynion chose to come to VoM is a “Huge deal! We’re all big fans and James is a top creator in the comic book industry. With all the news about their creations moving to film and TV, fans are very excited for this event!”
