See The Verve Pipe live The Ark on October 14.
“I always look forward to The Ark. We have an opportunity to do something different each time, playing songs in a different way and have guests’ musicians in because it is our tradition once a year to switch things up,” lead singer Brian Vander Ark said. “The Ark is always a great venue to perform in and we do it because we love to do it.”
The Verve Pipe comes to the Ark at least once a year simply because they love the space, Vander Ark said. This year they will be starting at 8 p.m. with two one-hour sets.
“We like to make it an evening with The Verve Pipe,” is how Vander Ark described the show.
The Verve Pipe has been playing music around Michigan and the country since the early 1990s. A few songs from the new album that The Verve Pipe is working on will be played, along with plenty of old favorites from across the decades.
“The Verve Pipe have been part of Michigan Music for over three decades, they are part of the 1990’s soundtrack that many of us remember fondly, this show will feature their hits and terrific new songs done in a uniquely acoustic rock format. It should not be missed,” Adam Bauer, who is organizing the show, said.
It has not yet been decided if there will be an opening act or not, or who any guest musicians will be.
Tickets can be bought online or through the Michigan Union. Some of the better seats are already sold out, but general admission tickets can still be bought for $30 each.
