Jordan Klepper will be taking Michigan Theater’s main stage on December 12. The Daily Show correspondent and multiple-Emmy Award nominee won’t just be doing one set – he’ll be doing two.

“I love coming back to Michigan. My family is there as well as a half dozen boxes of yearbooks I refuse to get rid of. I’ve been on the road a lot recently and realized just how hungry people are to talk about the dumpster fire that is American politics, as well as find community and light wherever it might lie,” Klepper said. “So, I’m bringing along a pal, Langhorne Slim to play some songs and bring some joy, and then I’m going to tell some stories from my time on the campaign trail, show some videos, reminisce about growing up in Michigan and try to find a bit of humanity in these inhumane times. I’ll probably also try to get some free Zingerman’s out of it.”
Comedians as wide and varied as Ronny Chang, Stephen Colbert, Roy Wood Jr. and John Oliver have all made a name for themselves over the years, but few have made quite as big an impression as Klepper. He was the correspondent who was accidentally there for the January 6 insurrection attempt at the Capitol after all.
The first show will start at 7:30pm and the second show will start at 10pm.

Now Klepper is on a nationwide comedy tour. Ann Arbor is going to be stop 12 on his 14 theater jaunt across the country.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jordan Klepper to the Michigan Theater for not one, but two performances on December 12, alongside supporting act Langhorne Slim. Known for his sharp political satire on The Daily Show and acclaimed comedy specials, Klepper brings a fearless, quick-witted take on current events that’s as thought-provoking as it is hilarious,” Tara Calligan, the director of marketing for the Michigan and State Theaters, said over email. “Bringing this celebrated comedian, storyteller and cultural commentator to Ann Arbor reflects our commitment to bringing exceptional experiences and world-class talent to our community, connecting audiences with one of the most distinctive voices in comedy today.”
Tickets for the first show range from $46.75 to $62.20. Seats for the second show will go from $46 to $149 according to Ticketmaster.
