Yoons Bakery Delivers Delicious Blend of Korean, French and American Pastries

Yoons Bakery does a pretty good job of making their baked goods look really good on Instagram and other social media short reels, but is their food actually as good as it looks? The short answer: yes.

Yoons’ Insta home page describes their food as “Korean-inspired French bakery crafting fresh delights with the finest ingredients.” That has made for quite a delicious combination.

Korean influences come out clearly through their delightfully chewy red bean with cream pastry. French influences also come through with their cakes, as does American tastes. Looking at you, oreo cake.

It is hard to mess up a chocolate cake. But a slice of Yoon’s dark chocolate cake is a good reminder of just how good a truly excellent chocolate cake can be.

Drinks are also available, mostly in the expected teas and coffees, provided by Mighty Good Coffee, from across town.

Yoon’s is a north Ann Arbor shop, located in the northeastern part of the strip malls at Plymouth and Nixon Roads. The interior is clean and logically organized, but the lack of tables makes clear that their business is primarily intended for you to order and take away, or sit at the tables out front.

And you don’t necessarily have to make a special trip if you’re not in Ann Arbor. According to their website, their products also appear at Troy’s H Mart, or at the New Seoul Plaza n Southfield.
