Curator Juana Williams will be bringing the first preview to The Ann Arbor Art Center’s (A2AC) 2022 exhibits! The brand new exhibition, called “Historic Futures”, is a multidisciplinary piece that brings together 9 featured artists who explore history, create commentary around current happenings, and dare to imagine a distinctly different and better future. The artists include Darryl DeAngelo Terrell (Detroit, MI), Josie Love Roebuck (Cincinnati, OH), Jason Quigno (Saginaw, MI), Ayana V. Jackson (Brooklyn, NY), Camille Hoffman (New York, NY), Sarika Goulatia (Pittsburgh, PA), Yuling Chuang (Ann Arbor, MI), Stephen Arboite (Miami, FL), and Lisa Alberts (Detroit, MI). Aside from the Historic Futures exhibit, The A2AC will also be debuting their brand new street-facing gallery in the heart of Ann Arbor’s Creative District.
Historical Futures opens on Friday, November 12th, and runs through December 30th. There will be an opening reception from 6-9pm in their new gallery located at 115 W. Liberty St. Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Some of the exhibiting artists as well as the curator will be in attendance.
As always, admittance to The A2AC Gallery is free, but donations are appreciated as they help keep the gallery open and free to everyone. All ages are welcome and the reception is free.
