Ann Arbor Wine & Spirits Festival to Have its Inaugural Launch on April 11

Local wine and spirits will be at the centerpiece of the brand new Ann Arbor Wine and Spirits Festival on April 11. Cumulus Media is hosting the event with Revel Run, a new rural wedding venue and events space along the Mill Creek in Chelsea.

“We have identified a big need for an event like this in the Ann Arbor market. The purpose of the inaugural Ann Arbor Wine and Spirits Festival is to create a wonderful event that boasts an exciting variety of wine and spirits, delicious local eats, live entertainment, a chance to meet your favorite Ann Arbor Radio On-Air Hosts, take in the gorgeous scenic views of Revel Run, and more,” Theresa Vicari Ahee, the Regional Sales Manager for Cumulus Media, said. “Wine and Spirits enthusiasts alike will enjoy this event. Whether you consider yourself a pro or a novice, there will be something for everyone’s pace. This event is perfect to come with friends, with a date, or with anyone who is ready for a fun day out this spring.”

The festival will go from 2-8pm. You can get tickets in advance from $50, or pay $60 upon arrival.

Once you walk in you’ll be entitled to up to ten tastings per person. Food will be provided by Zingerman’s Roadhouse and there will also be a food truck from “Cousin Maine’s Lobster and Hoggs Nest BBQ” according to Vicari Ahee.

“We are truly excited to host this event—one of the first of its kind in the area. It is a privilege to offer and share our elegant rustic experience in a setting designed to feel both distinctive and welcoming,” James Daratony, the owner of Revel Run, said. “Revel Run is situated on 150 beautiful acres, accessed by a well-maintained country road, creating a destination that feels both exclusive and memorable. We are not a traditional banquet facility. Guests visit to experience our signature ‘rustic Yellowstone-inspired’ atmosphere and to enjoy an environment that reflects the spirit of an authentic, thoughtfully designed event center immersed in nature.”

Cumulus Media owns and operates 107-One, BIG 1050 AM, the 1290 AM talk radio station, 760 AM WJR, 96.3 WDVD and W4 Country in our area.

This is not a fundraiser. But Vicari Ahee said that they are planning on looking to “bring on charity partners next year” should the festival prove successful. There will also be a photo booth and cigar rolling, Vicari Ahee added.

“I would say relaxed in that people are comfortable, the view is gorgeous, we will have live music, but given that is probably one of the first big events in the Spring after a long, cold winter – I may bet the vibe may be more lively than relaxed!  Our goal is for people to come and taste and make a day/night out of it,” Vicari Ahee said.

They are still looking for vendors. Anyone interested in becoming a vendor can do so by contacting Vicari Ahee at [email protected].
