It’s spooky season! Halloween/Samhain is a wonderful time to enjoy weed with all the spooky activities readily available.

We’ve gathered a list of some of our favorite Ann Arbor spooky activities to vibe with your favorite weed. Whether you enjoy edibles, tinctures, or the pure flower itself—these will pair nicely with a bit of a buzz.

Remember, it’s illegal to consume cannabis in public. So enjoy with your friends before hitting up an activity to feel that buzz, or go back home after and sit down with your favorite flower as a way to wind down!

Gary Graham, “Extracting Ghosts” at the Michigan Theater.

This event showcases Gary Graham, an American fashion designer and artist, who designs small-batch collections and creates robust art pieces. He does installations, clothing, drawings and sculpture inspired by the histories and architecture of the Old Manse, Hancock Shaker Village, the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, Peabody Essex Museum and the American Folk Art Museum. “Extracting Ghosts” is about his site-specific work.

The Exorcist on the 16th at 8pm.
It Follows on the 17th at 9:30pm.
Pan’s Labyrinth on the 23rd at 8pm.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show on the 24th and 25th at 9:30pm.
Carnival of Souls on the 30th at 8pm.
Night of the Living Dead on the 31st at 9:30pm.

Enjoy scary movies every week at the Michigan Theatre. If you go, you gotta get the Michigan Theater’s popcorn with real butter–nothing is better for the munchies.

First Friday Halloween Craft Night in Ypsi

From 6-9pm on October 3rd, enjoy a variety of Halloween crafts ranging from festive decor to pumpkins. Each craft is priced individually, so you only pay for the ones you choose to do. And you get complimentary refreshments while you craft.

U-pick pumpkins and sunflowers

Jacob’s Fresh Farm in Dexter is open every day till Halloween for U-pick pumpkins, as well as sunflowers. On weekends, check out their apple cider, hay rides, toddler and kid activities and fall decor as well.

Highland Cemetery Evening Lantern tours

It wouldn’t be Halloween without a cemetery. Join a local historian who provides you with lanterns (first come first served) and for only $10, tells you the who’s who of the graveyard. The cemetery tour is about two hours long, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October.

Nightmare on Cross Street

Ypsi’s throwing a spooky party every October weekend. Fridays (and some Saturdays) feature a haunted mini attraction with the historic Spooky Caboose. Saturdays feature live musical and magical performances with either a Phantom Trail and Scavenger hunt, or a Cats and Dogs first-ever Cat Crawl. Sundays feature Author spotlights at This, That, and the ODDer Things.

On Halloween, go trick or treating, enjoy a costume contest and an Ohana Lounge party, and check out the Maize halloween party with 10% off at participating local businesses.
