If you’re a cannabis lover and a fan of roadtripping, the Michigan Cannabis Conference in Grand Rapids is a must-attend this September.
Occurring September 20-21 at the Devos Place, this event caters to all cannabis fans, connoisseurs and newbies alike. Whether you’re an advocate, consumer, patient, entrepreneur or business–they prioritize a unique convention that hones in on the local market with a collaborative approach with local industries: a superior alternative to more generic national cannabis conventions.
Attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors see high returns in their areas of interest or investment, as the convention is so engaging and has such varied opportunities!

Interested in knowing more about their classes? Some highlighted classes include:
“How American companies can tap into the European cannabis market,” showing the high demand for imported medical cannabis in Europe, with over 20 countries having legalized it; “Rescheduling: A New Day for Solar Energy!”, learning how to power one’s entire cannabis operation with the sun and maximizing tax dollars and credits; and, “Prison Reform,” advocating to correct past injustices by previous drug policies.
Their keynote speakers are actor/comedian/cannabis farm owner Jim Belushi and Executive director of Michigan’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency Brian Hanna.
If you’re more of a party person, the after-party mixer is Friday from 5-8pm, featuring drinks and music as you meet industry professionals and friends. All proceeds from the after-party support “Freedom Grow Forever,” a nonprofit that works to free cannabis prisoners and support them while they’re incarcerated.
Grand Rapids is the second largest city in Michigan and features a variety of sights and entertainment, including beautiful bridges, museums, and outdoor art murals and sculptures. Their food scene and coffee houses are also top-notch–check out their Market Hall or famous breweries.
