Solar-powered community of tomorrow

THRIVE Collaborative, a firm focused on sustainable housing, recently submitted plans to the city of Ann Arbor to build a new development on a 14-acre parcel on Platt Road. The plans call for the community to be powered entirely by approximately 150 solar panels. The Veridian at County Farm is designed to house a mix of homes for individuals from different economic levels, including larger townhouses and smaller, affordable housing units and apartments. The estimated construction costs for the project are $10 million.
