Ann Arbor chefs sharpened their knifes and their skills for the annual Mainstreet Ventures Top Knife competition on January 5. The live cook-off was a head to head challenge between 15 MSV restaurants who were judged on taste, plating and presentation. This year's dual winners were Chef Jason Self of Real Seafood Company for his beef filet with a chipotle hollandaise sauce with crispy fried Brussels sprouts and Sous Chef Matt Barnes of Carson's American Bistro for his pan seared scallops with a fresh corn cream sauce.
