Jazz trumpeter Benje Daneman will bring his newly formed sextet, SearchParty, to Kerrytown Concert House to play music from their new album, Light in the Darkness. The band features some of the most creative voices in modern jazz today including vocalist Ashley Daneman, saxophonist Greg Ward, bassist Matt Ulrey, pianist Rob Clearfield, and drummer John Deitemyer. Light in the Darkness is a six-movement jazz suite commissioned by NYC organization Spark and Echo Arts, exploring the age-old struggle between light and darkness in the world through Daneman’s original compositions.
