Just across downtown sits Zingerman’s Greyline, the organization’s stylish, historic event space designed to bring those signature flavors and that signature service to weddings, corporate gatherings, social events and celebrations of all kinds.
This winter, Zingerman’s is inviting the community to explore that space firsthand. On Saturday, January 17, from 11am-2pm, Greyline will host its Experience Zingerman’s Greyline Open House—a free, immersive event offering tastings, tours, interactive activities, and an up-close look at what makes this venue truly unique.
A space rooted in history and reimagined for today
Greyline occupies the former Greyhound Bus Station in downtown Ann Arbor, a detail still proudly referenced in its preserved exterior signage. Inside, the space blends historic character with modern Art Deco-inspired design, creating a warm and flexible environment that can be tailored to virtually any type of event. With seating for up to 120 guests, Greyline offers an understated, elegant aesthetic that serves as a blank canvas for clients’ visions—whether that’s an intimate wedding, a rehearsal dinner, a milestone celebration or a corporate workshop.
One of the venue’s greatest strengths is its accessibility. Located on a single level with easy entry points, adjacent to hotel accommodations, and equipped with full climate control, Greyline offers comfort and convenience year-round—no weather worries, no complicated logistics.
The Zingerman’s experience, extended
According to Jennifer Santi, marketing and communications manager for Zingerman’s Deli, the magic of Greyline lies in how seamlessly it pairs the beloved Zingerman’s food culture with a fully inclusive event experience.
“Everything people love about the Deli is what they can expect at Greyline,” she explained. “Our catering team serves the same sandwiches, cheeses and sliced meats guests already know, along with customized menus for everything from plated dinners to cocktail receptions.”
Greyline’s venue rental fees are intentionally inclusive. Each booking includes an event designer, guided planning support, and the essential setup elements needed to bring an event to life. For clients who want expanded décor options, Zingerman’s partners with trusted rental providers and handles coordination—ensuring the planning process stays smooth and stress-free.
“We take care of all the details so clients don’t have to figure things out alone,” Santi said. “Whether you want something classic and simple or highly customized, we help build the vision.”
Inside the January 17 open house
The upcoming Open House aims to reintroduce Greyline to the Ann Arbor community, especially after the challenges the events industry faced during the pandemic. This years’ experience is designed to give guests a complete sense of how Greyline feels when the space is alive with energy, food, and people.

A tasting menu and complimentary sips
Guests will enjoy samples from Zingerman’s catering menu, including iconic Deli items, along with desserts from Zingerman’s Bakehouse and a complimentary mimosa to welcome them in.
Event partner introductions
Guests can meet some of Greyline’s favorite event partners—such as florists, photographers and representatives from the nearby Marriott—who help bring clients’ visions to life.
Tours and on-site planning support
Greyline’s team will be on hand to offer tours, answer questions and help guests imagine how the space can transform for their own needs.
Exclusive giveaways and booking incentives
