Located on the third floor of a Main Street building, The Love Club Bridal is a modern bridal atelier with historic bones. Run by two sisters, the boutique preserves the building’s original character while adding minimalist details that give the space the feel of a downtown studio rather than a traditional bridal salon.
This past Sunday, the boutique hosted an event called “Vision Boards and Champagne,” bringing together over 40 women from Ann Arbor and nearby communities. Guests included newly engaged brides, creatives from the local wedding industry and friends who tagged along for the afternoon.

The free event centered on making vision boards, and tables were set with local magazines and scrapbooking materials. After using January as a month of reflection, The Love Club team said they wanted to welcome February with lightness, openness and supportive female energy.
Tarot card readings were offered by a local spiritual healer, while staff set up charcuterie tables and poured champagne. Guests also received personalized crystals and gift bags.
Brides mingled with photographers, planners and other attendees, swapping contact information and making new connections. Around the room, wedding dresses hung on racks and were available for anyone to try on.

Owner Meg Baldwin moved through the space to greet guests, top off glasses and help women try on dresses for fun, with no appointments or expectations.
“We’ve noticed a trend of brides coming in feeling overwhelmed by the wedding planning process, and we wanted to create a safe space to let them know we’re here for them,” Baldwin said.
How it started
More than seven years ago, sisters Ashley Sheehan, Chelsea Burgin and Meg Baldwin started one of Michigan’s first modern bridal boutiques in Ann Arbor under the name Beloved Bridal. As the business grew, each sister expanded and leaned into her own vision.

Sheehan later expanded Beloved Bridal to Detroit, while Burgin and Baldwin rebranded the Ann Arbor location to The Love Club Bridal in October 2025.

Community remains at the core of the sisters’ work. “Because we’re local, our brides aren’t just appointments on a calendar. They’re our neighbors, our friends, and our friends’ friends,” Baldwin said. “That shapes how deeply we care about every detail of the experience.”
Inspiration Behind the Style
Individuality guides the sisters’ approach to fashion. “We don’t believe in trends dictating taste,” Baldwin said.
The sisters meet with bridal designers twice a year, traveling to New York and Chicago to view new collections and hand-select each dress they bring into the shop with their clients in mind.
From the music playing in the shop to the way each look is styled, everything is intentional, relaxed and designed to feel special.
“If you leave feeling more like yourself than when you arrived, we’ve done exactly what we set out to do,” Baldwin said.
