Booksweet Hosts Free Romance Trope Bingo

Booksweet is a locally owned bookstore located in Ann Arbor owned by book lovers Truly Render and Shaun Manning. They often host events looking to bring their community together and their upcoming Romance Trope Bingo is no different. This event will take place February 2 at 7pm with free admission hosted by author Alana Oxford.

Manning described the upcoming RomCom bingo as one of their “really fun lighthearted events”. He explained that Booksweet is working with local romance authors Lisa Peers, Erin Hahn and Tana Jenkins. Authors will “draw tropes from a bingo style bowl saying things like enemies to lovers..that sort of thing.” The authors of the event will be reading excerpts from their romance novels.

Peers is the author of the lesbian romance novel “Love at 350.” Google books describes this novel as a “wholesome delectable debut”. The love story follows divorced mom Tori as she becomes a contestant on a baking show on a quest to win money to follow her dream of owning her own bakery. Kendra Campbell is a cut throat celebrity chef and judge of “Bake O Rama”. The two women struggle to avoid their undeniably electric chemistry. Lisa Peers is set to attend the gathering.

Author of several novels including “More Than Maybe” and more recently, “Friends Don’t Fall in Love,” Erin Hahn will also be in attendance for this event. “Friends Don’t Fall in Love” is a friends to lovers romance novel based in Nashville surrounding country singer Lorelai Jones and long time friend Craig Bosemen. It is highly rated on both GoodReads and Amazon.

Jenkins is famous for her beachy novels such as “Sailing into the Heart” and award winning “Slow Dancing in a Black Storm.” Her novels often include a diverse group of characters set in our very own Great Lakes region. “Slow Dancing in a Black Storm” follows uptight Mila St. James and her enchanting love interest Sergio Gomez. Reader Ellen Hogan describes this novel as “a sweet clean romance that is a delight to read.”

This event is an opportunity for readers and aspiring authors alike to share their love of a good romance novel.  According to the Booksweet website, this event is a wonderful way to “Win prizes, have fun and meet great people”.
