Virtual Event: Zingerman’s 101 Tasting Flight Class
When Paul Saginaw and Ari Weinzweig first opened the doors of Zingerman’s Delicatessen on March 15th, 1982, all they wanted to do was make a ridiculously delicious sandwich. They had no idea their little deli would evolve into a community of ten different businesses, from restaurants to candy makers to business trainers, that INC Magazine would later call the “coolest small company in America.”
Business accolades aside, it’s been a delicious few decades. It’s about time we tasted the history of Zingerman’s Community of Businesses.
Brad Hedeman will guide us on a delicious trip through Zingerman’s history as we taste and talk about the signature products from each business. Brad started at Zingerman’s Deli in 1994. Today he finds food and writes about it for our website and catalog. He’s worked the front of the house, back of the house, on the phones and in the warehouses. In 26 years he’s witnessed and participated in a lot. He’ll share stories, bust myths, and give a glimpse into Zingerman’s future, all while keeping our taste buds dancing with flavor.
Each home kit will include a flight of Zingerman’s products to taste and enjoy, from bread and pastry to cheese, barbecue sauce, coffee, olive oil, and more. Everything will be ready to eat and require no cooking. By the end, you’ll be the resident Zingerman’s historian on your street and ready for more.
The class will start at 3 pm ET on Saturday, June 5 and last about an hour.
We’ll ship enough food for a generous tasting with four to six people (or for one person to have leftovers after the event). You'll receive them by Thursday, June 3. Try to not eat them all before the class!
The class will take place over Zoom. You'll need a device to connect to Zoom and a high speed internet connection to attend. We'll include instructions getting connected to Zoom in the box (and we’ll email the instructions, too).
The event is hosted by Zingerman’s.
