If a staycation in Ann Arbor in a cannabis-friendly suite sounds like your ideal getaway, you will be stoked to hear about New Standard’s recent collaboration with Airriva, a boutique Columbus-based lodging company.

If you are 21+, you are welcome to enjoy a lovely Airriva cannabis-friendly suite with New Standard consumables, air purifiers, essentials and specials, and access to a courtyard.

Local A2 folk may already be familiar with New Standard–with nine locations in Michigan, New Standard is known for its welcoming atmosphere for everyone: from the cannabis novice to connoisseur; each location has a strong community focus and product specialists guide and educate consumers on edibles, cartridges, concentrates, flowers, accessories, and more.

New Standard is a vertically integrated organization and partners with two Michigan farms for its Beaverton products. New Standard opened its Ann Arbor cannabis location in 2021 inside a restored historic home between Kerrytown and Water Hill on Main Street.

Katie McDermid, the marketing and social media coordinator of Airriva, says the collaboration took off thanks to the Airriva city manager Jac’Qulyn Ward who recommended New Standard as her preferred dispensary to guests and encouraged the creation of the 420/New Standard Suites.

Airriva began its mission to provide modern and unique boutique lodging experiences for guests interested in staying short- and long-term. Airriva’s properties are of hotel quality and centrally located in popular areas while feeling like a safe home away from home.

New Standard PR representative, Andrea Walker-Leidy, notes that Airriva excels at curated unique listings with strong attention to detail and operates in Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Middletown, and Sandusky (OH), as well as Kansas City (MO), Ann Arbor (MI), Louisville (KY), Corpus Christi (TX), & Fort Lauderdale (FL).

The COO of New Standard, Mary Turon, says, “We are excited to welcome guests to the New Standard Suites as we partner with Airriva on this exclusive and innovative destination opportunity. These suites are beautiful and offer a perfect place to stay that is inclusive to guests on any part of their cannabis journey.”

When wanting to book, a guest can select from a 1 or 2 bedroom suite where they can consume cannabis in-unit by using the air purifiers and ash trays available.

Each suite includes New Standards ashtrays, grinders, sleep masks, a coupon to use at the dispensary, and more.

To book these suites, go to Airriva.com. Prices vary, but they start at $155 a night (taxes and fees apply).
